WELCOME TO THE ISLE OF WIGHT
THE ISLE OF WIGHT
Voted 2020 Holiday Destination of the Year we feel the Isle of Wight offers so much variety for everyone.

As a start we would recommend the Visit Isle of Wight Website as a brilliant place to find out more about the Island and its many attractions.

Beaches

The Island has a varied coastline and because of this boast cliffs, coves, sandy beaches, secret inlets and rock pools all to be discovered.

Around 15 minutes from the House you will find the lovely family friendly sands in Shanklin which is one of our favourite spots. However this is not the only beach in the East of the Island as you will also find the beaches at Sandown and Yaverland as well. The coves at Steephill are well worth a visit as are the bays at Compton and Freshwater in West Wight.

Attractions
For a day out away from the Beach the options are wide and include: The Needles, Dinosaur Isle, Blackgang Chine, Tapnell Farm Park, Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Monkey Haven, Robin Hill, The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, Osborne House, Brading Roman Villa, Carisbroke Castle, Shanklin Chine, West Wight Alpacas and Llamas,
Tree Climbing and of course The Model Village in Godshill itself which is a 5 minute walk from the house.

Activities
If you like to be more active on your holiday then the Island offers a range of activities as well. Wonderful cycling routes around the island and many walks from straight outside your front door in Godshill. There are various companies where you can hire cycles including: Isle cycle, Wightcycle hire and Routefifty7

Water Sports are of course also plentiful with various companies providing equipment or Tuition: Within 15 minutes of the House you will find Wight Water Adventure Watersports or a bit further afield in West Wight Adventure Activities Isle of Wight who run Activities on Land and in the Water.
